About Sandile

WhatsApp Image 2026-03-20 at 16.18.27.jpeg

Much of Sandile Swana’s work has been shaped by a simple question:

Why do some institutions perform, while others, with the same structures and resources, struggle to deliver?

Over time, working across government, public entities, and business, it becomes clear that the issue is rarely a lack of policy or planning. The gap is usually in how decisions are made, how leadership is exercised, and how governance is applied in practice.

That is where his work sits.

He engages with organisations on corporate governance, strategic leadership, and economic development, helping to strengthen how institutions think, organise themselves, and respond to the environments they operate in.

There is also a strong focus on the political and developmental context.

Strategy is not abstract. It is shaped by policy, by leadership, and by economic reality. Understanding that context is essential if decisions are going to hold.

The aim is not only to identify problems, but to work through what is practical, what is achievable, and what will make a difference over time.
